Ilse STOCKINGER (*1971) holds a PhD in Law from the University of Innsbruck. She started her career as a lawyer in 2002. Three years later she became CEO at Wiener StadtwerkeBeteiligungsmanagement GmbH(2005-2012).

Since 2011 Ms Stockinger is head of the department Research, Technology and Innovation at the Wiener Stadtwerke group. In recent years she has been initiating several outstanding R&D initiatives. One of these– URBEM -Urban Energy and Mobility Systems – is an inter-disciplinary doctorate course that aims to develop future scenarios for the city of Vienna in order to maintain its status as a sustainable, supply-secure, affordable and liveable city.

Furhermore Ilse Stockinger is CEO of Neue Urbane Mobilität Wien GmbH, where she promotes several research projects in the mobility sector. A remarkable example of her work is the research project SMILE that makes „Integrated Mobility“both tangible and usable. This session will shed light on the challenges and opportunities of the fast changing urban mobility landscape. Indeed, OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and other industry players from outside the mobility sector are reinventing themselves as mobility services providers and playing an increasing role in urban mobility services besides traditional players.
